Safety Information
- It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure that users are aware of all warnings and precautions.
- Set up and operate the Peloton Bike on a solid, level surface and in an area not accessible to children, pets, or anyone else who should not have access to the Bike.
- People under the age of 14 and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities that impair the safe use of the equipment must not use the Peloton Bike.
- People aged 14 and over and persons with a lack of experience and knowledge must be given supervision or instruction before using the Bike.
- Keep children under 14, pets, and objects away from the Peloton Bike at all times.
- Never allow children of any age to perform maintenance, or to play with or on the Bike.
- The resistance knob can be used as an emergency brake. To stop immediately, push down on the resistance knob.
- Inspect the Peloton Bike for loose, worn, damaged, or incorrect parts before using. Do not use before parts are replaced, repaired, or tightened.
- Always keep the top surface of the pedals clean and dry.
- Ensure that the power cable never passes under the Peloton Bike and that the power cord is not being pinched or trapped under the Bike support legs.
- Never operate the Bike if it isn’t working properly, or if the power cord has been damaged.
- Keep the power cord away from heated surfaces, sharp edges and water.
- Always keep the power cable clean and dry.
- Sweat, spills, and other damage to the power cable may result in property damage or bodily harm.
- Do not use extension cords or adapters.
- This included power cord must be able to reach an outlet.
- The Peloton Bike should not be used by persons exceeding 297 lbs/135 kg and users should be between 4’11” and 6’5” (150-195 cm).
- Allow a clearance of 24 in/60 cm on each side of the Peloton Bike.
- Keep the area around the Bike clear of furniture, equipment and accessories.
- Use only as described and for its intended purpose.
- Misuse of this equipment may result in serious injury or death.
- Peloton is not responsible for damage or injury caused by misuse.
- Before mounting/dismounting use caution.
- Move the pedal on that side to its lowest position and stop the pedals completely.
- Consult a physician before beginning a new fitness plan.
- Incorrect or excessive training can result in serious injury.
- If you experience faintness, chest pain, or shortness of breath, stop exercising immediately and consult a physician.
- Metrics on the screen, including heart rate monitoring, may be inaccurate. Use values for reference only.
- This Peloton Bike is for indoor, residential use only.
- Do not store or operate the Bike outdoors, at high humidity levels, or in damp or wet locations.
- Do not use in a commercial or rental setting.
- To prevent injury, always adjust the seat and handlebars to your personal preference and verify that all adjustment handles are fully tightened before each use.
- Loose seats or handlebars can lead to serious injury.
- To prevent injury, keep hands, loose clothing, shoelaces, and accessories away from moving parts.
- Do not insert objects into openings on the equipment.
- This Peloton Bike has a direct driven flywheel. When the flywheel is moving, the pedals will also move. Stop by reducing pedaling frequency in a controlled manner or by using the emergency brake.
- Do not remove your feet from the pedals until the flywheel stops moving. Spinning pedals can cause injury.
- The Peloton Bike is equipped with Delta-cleat compatible pedals. Always cycle using footwear equipped with appropriate cleats. Cycling barefoot or with inappropriate footwear can cause serious injury.
- Be careful when clipping in and out. While you may need to use some force, excessive force or aggressive movements could result in leg or other injury.
- Make sure that your cleats are properly positioned and all bolts are fully tightened before clipping in. Riding with loose cleats could lead to serious injury.
- Do not attempt to walk in cycling shoes with cleats. Wear cycling shoes only while using the Peloton Bike and remove them immediately after clipping out. Walking on cleats may cause you to fall or twist your ankle, or otherwise result in serious injury.
- Always unplug the Peloton Bike from the electrical outlet immediately after use and before cleaning, assembling, disassembling or performing maintenance.
- Perform regular maintenance for optimal performance and longevity.
- To ensure safety, check the Peloton Bike for loose, worn, damaged, or incorrect parts before using.
- Replace any damaged or worn parts immediately. Do not use the Bike until parts are replaced, repaired, or tightened.
- Do not operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used, or where oxygen is being administered.
- Use only original parts from Peloton. Other unauthorized changes or modifications to this equipment from non-original parts could damage the Peloton Bike.
- Do not attempt to service the Peloton Bike yourself other than performing the basic maintenance described in this manual.
- Service other than basic maintenance should be performed by qualified personnel.
- Do not carry this appliance by its cord or use the cord as a handle.
